The Montana and North Dakota area are quiet during the early months of the year. As everyone rests and are under recovery, there are definitely limited things to do. Simply, this means one might have to travel a little ways to enjoy some good socialization.
Sophocles was ahead of his time when writing his globally renowned tragedies. Sophocles among other writers in his era had laid down the foundation for other great works in more contemporary times. As a reminder if anyone needs it, he also wrote works like Ajax and Oedipus Rex, and in some way, shape, or form, these these classic plots always return to the big screen spotlight. Entertainment Inc! comes forth to present Antigone, one of the tragic classics from this incredible and influential writer. While it is a drive away, there is no excuse for missing this show. Show dates run from Thursday, February 7, 2019 to Thursday February 14, 2019. The show goes live at The Old Armory in Williston, North Dakota. Tickets range from $10 to $20 and showtimes vary.
And with each tragedy comes the need to slightly recover from such cathartic scenes. Although the catharsis is a natural process on its own, chocolate and music certainly help to speed up the process. Of course, no one would be traumatized by the show, but who doesn’t want an excuse to enjoy some music and chocolate? On Saturday, February 23, at 7:00 PM, Sunday and Mr. Goessl put on a music show mixing swing, country, and various other genres to bring the 1920s back to life. This Celebrating Chocolate event includes live music, sweets for savour, and a possible prize of a bottle of wine! What’s better is that while anyone who attends will enjoy this event, the event is also a fundraiser to support the MonDak Heritage Centre, the venue host for this event. Tickets are $60 and will go fast!
