October: the month of harvest. This is where all the bright colors of autumn really come together.  An oxymoronic time of year where everything looks so bright and full of life, but in reality, we all know all life is slowing down and getting ready to hibernate for the colder months ahead.  Harvest is symbolic of all the hard work put into the crop for this year’s growth. What better way to celebrate than coming together as a community?

Harvest Days

At the MonDak Heritage Center in Sidney MT, everyone will come together on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 6:30 PM to celebrate Harvest Days.  This celebration includes live music from Dennis Stroughmatt et l’Esprit Creole! His music will take you on a journey you haven’t experienced before. His life experiences are embedded in his music and you get the opportunity to see glimpses of the Upper Louisiana Creole Culture in his performance and expression. His music style is also a mix of Canadian and Celtic which all-in-all brings forward a unique mix of sounds and narratives in his music alone.

On top of that, be sure to enjoy some seasonal beers, and a variety of other refreshments for purchase.  Tickets are $50 per person and due to the nature of the event, you must be 21 years old or older with valid ID in order to attend.  And of course, don’t forget to check out other activities happening that evening.

When it comes to finding a place to stay, be sure to check out the Astoria Hotels location in Glendive MT.  This location is a short scenic route down the 16 from Sidney MT. Upon entry, you will be greeted warmly by our hotel staff and shown to your spacious room and comfortable beds. Our rooms include choices from king suites, queen suites, and of course standard rooms. Be sure to check out the local area of Glendive, too!
