Dickinson North Dakota has a rich cultural heritage and a connected community which really sparks enthusiasm during any event hosted in town. Dozens of family-friendly events and programs are held each week, where the community comes together to appreciate talented performers and interesting viewpoints on the history of our town and country. Here are two wonderful events that represent the personality and character of the people of Dickinson.
On Sunday, April 27, the City of Dickinson will host Ball In the House the Men’s A Cappella Quintet. The Boston-based quintet has been together for over a decade, performing on shows such as America's Got Talent, The TODAY Show, and The Daily Buzz. Their mellifluous voices carry R&B, pop & soul songs beautifully in their unique a cappella style. They perform over 200 shows all over the world per year. Doors open at 7:30 pm for a high energy show that's going to have you on your feet. Admission at the door is only $30. Get ready for a joyful night of singing and dancing with your whole family!
Are you looking for a stimulating social event where you can kick back and enjoy great beer? Join a conversation led by two history-buffs who will provide fascinating facts about the great state of North Dakota, our community and The United States of America. You’ll want to visit The Rocky Corner Bar on April 26 for the Dickinson Think & Drink event. This social gathering features Steven Doherty and Frank Varney engaged in discussion, moderated by Paul Amberg, about our rich local and national history. The addition of great beer helps create a casual and relaxed setting for the crowd to connect to the discussants and to each other. Doors open at 1 PM. The price of admission, $20 at the door, includes a free beverage. You’ll leave this event with a new-found appreciation for history and quite possibly a new friend or two.
