For some, Shakespeare is a very special appreciation that they may hold closely to their hearts. Whether it be the romance exuded from the his ancient words, or the twisted plots that originated from his mind, there are a lot of things to look forward to with Shakespeare. However, the language can definitely be a harder barrier to overcome. Besides, who can make sense of all the backwards, forwards, and sideways sentence structure? Surely even the experts still get mixed up.
In any case, make sure you schedule in time to check out Shakespeare in the Parks! No minimum experience required, and can be enjoyed by everyone at any age or proficiency.
This feature event happens on June 28th at 6:30 PM in Veterans Memorial Park in Sidney Montana. This free event is presented to you in partnership by the MonDak Heritage Center to put on a fabulous show of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
A bit about the show…
Watch as Sir John Falstaff, a salacious man, pursues two wives of Windsor. Unsuccessfully, he continues pursuit while the two geniusly clever women outwit him every step of the way. Eventually, fortune rears its head and flips the odds in favour of the women, unravelling the plots of Sir Falstaff and exposing him for the foul man he is.
There simply is something about shows and performances that make it seem like the audience has been transported to a different time and place. The case won’t be any different with this show-- and if you’re on the road and watching this show, we can understand if you feel a little exhausted and out of place. Nonetheless, checking-in to one of our rooms at Stay Astoria is sure to guarantee comfort and familiarity. Book your stay now and enjoy the warm weather during the long June days.
