The American Midwest and the American Northwest are two vast regions, with comparable even larger history. And with history, comes the incredible culture that has shaped America we know today. With history written in the books, comes the culture of gun shows and country music. To get a taste of what it was like back then, be sure to check out these events.
Books. They’re food for thought. They’re also the oldest and most traditional way to capture history so that it may be revisited and pondered upon for futures to come. Join the Ft Buford History Book Club on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for their meeting. This is a great place for people, especially, history enthusiasts to discuss the selected book. Refreshments are provided at no cost. The event takes place at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center in Williston North Dakota.
Join in on the Gun Show fun from Friday, August 17, 2019, to Monday, August 19, 2019, for three days celebrating the beauty and fascination of guns. However, at the Lone Tree Gun Show, guns aren’t the only feature. There will be other firearms and historical artifacts such as knives, antiques, and accessories. Don’t forget to bring some money! There will also be an abundance of hunting and fishing gear for your re-stocking! Admission is $5 per person per day, children under 12 years old are free.
Judd Hoos, an American rock band started out of humble Sturgis, South Dakota-- true to the American Midwest. You can be sure to feel and hear hints of the history and wholesome nature that has risen out of that region of America. The Judd Hoos show is at Summer Nights on Main in Williston North Dakota on Thursday, August 22, 2019, starting at 5:00 PM. Ticket information is yet to be released.
