The coldest months of the year can often be the warmest months, figuratively speaking. There is something about the cold weather that brings people together and keeps our hearts warm. There are several special occasions during the final months of the year, too. If you have forgotten, in November we’ve got Thanksgiving, and in December, we’ve got Christmas! Here are a couple ways to get into that spirit of gratefulness and giving.
Every year the most exciting times for the young ones are when the holiday decorations and lights go up. And of course, in every town or city, or one nearby will have a parade to show off all the fun and spirit they have that season. In Downtown Sidney, join the locals for their Christmas Stroll on November 29, 2019. The event itself is a full day affair with activities starting at 8:00 AM, and the day concludes with the parade at 6:30 PM. Participation is free, and during the day you can see singers and dancers perform. Or you might even catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus and be able to snap a photo. At the end of the day, get ready for the Parade of Lights.
On Thursday, December 5, 2019 head on over to St. Matthews School for their annual St Matthews Fall Bazaar. Get into the spirit of the holidays by looking for small gifts for your loved ones. Find local businesses displaying their hand-made crafts and stocking stuffers for all your friends and family.
